Kathleen Kat Trosper, 86, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 in Dallas, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 12 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Trosper, Rev. Billy Snider, and Rev. Brad Foster officiating. Graveside Services will follow at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Kathleen Kat Trosper was born July 19, 1923 at Novice, Texas to Henry and Lora Phillips. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Tom Trosper on April 13, 1987. On January 24, 1990 she married Oscar Trosper in Trinidad, Colorado. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Moore and Hutchinson Counties since 1942. She had recently moved to Kaufman to be near family. Kat was always ready to lend a hand and take charge in any crisis. She was the family care giver for her and her husbands families. She was dependable and family and friends can always recall a time when she was there to help out. She was a faithful Christian and believed in doing for others. Kat was a blessing to be around and is going to be missed by all her family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Margaret, stepdaughter, Cheryl, her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her husband, Oscar of the home sons, Jim Trosper of Picayune, MS, Ron Trosper of Kaufman, stepdaughter, Sue McClary of Dumas stepsons, Paul Trosper of Amarillo, Gary Trosper of Arkansas sisters, Sue Siegler of Matador, Betty Blankenship of Stinnett 9 grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren, 2 greatgreatgrandchildren one aunt, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from all over the United States.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 11.
