Kaye Ramey

Kaye Ramey, 78, of Dumas, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Pastor Chris Fobbs, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.
 
Kaye was born on November 19, 1944, in Wheeler, TX to William and Lucretia (Gierhart) Hubbard. She married Bobby Gene Ramey in Amarillo, TX on February 4, 1966. He preceded her in 2006. They raised their family in Dumas and Kaye was a devoted mother to their children. She was a dedicated member of
the Dumas Junior High Cafeteria staff until her retirement. Once Randy and Staci moved on to their lives, they were replaced by Kaye’s loyal companion dog, Tippy. Kaye had a passion for reading all types of books and collecting crosses or anything southwest, Texas or Americana. When the family reunited each year, one of the favorite dishes to be had was Kaye’s delicious orange julius’s.
 
In addition to her husband, Kaye is also preceded by her parents.
 
Kaye is survived by her children; son: Randy and wife Gwenda Ramey of Dumas, TX; daughter: Staci and husband Harvey Kidd of Hereford, TX; sister: Sue and husband Roger Hager of Hedley, TX; brother: Billy Hubbard of Grove, OK; granddaughter: Jayda and husband Michael Jenkins of Stinnett, TX; great grandchildren: Braison Blue of Dumas, TX, Maddison Jenkins of Stinnett, TX and Lucas Jenkins of Amarillo, TX; nephews: T.J. Hubbard of El Paso, TX, Tim Lee and wife Leah, and Mark Callahan, all of Clovis, NM. Kaye is also survived by many other friends and family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
