Kenneth Burdick Strong

Kenneth Burdick Strong, 87, of Stratford, TX passed away early on Monday, July 1, 2019. No services are scheduled. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Kenneth was born March 22, 1932 to Herbert Davis and Mary Etta (Burdick) Strong in Hopkinton, Rhode Island. After proudly serving in the US Navy, he was employed as an electrical engineer for General Dynamic Electric Boat, retiring after 34 years. Kenneth met and married Barbara (Michaud) on May 4, 1989, they moved to Stratford where they enjoyed almost 30 years of retirement life. Kenneth was known by the endearing title of Mr. "Fix-it." He attended First Christian Church in Stratford and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was also preceded in death by two brothers. He is survived by his wife Barbara of the home; brother: Richard Strong of Libson, CT; sons: George Devirgilio and David Tolbert, both of Groton CT: daughters: Dina Strong of Grimmitt, CO, Liz Stroud of North Carolina, and Cathy Regal of Florida; and many other family including numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren
