Lauro DJ Shorty Escobar

Lauro "DJ Shorty" Escobar, 35 of Sunray, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 oclock in the morning on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Grace Thru Faith with Pastor Jori Buchenau officiating. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors. Lauro was born on August 13, 1984 in Mexico to Juan and Eberta Escobar. He grew up in Dumas and graduated from Dumas High School in 2004. At the age of 13, he met Naomi Granado who he stayed with and eventually married on June 4, 2005 in Sunray. Lauro was a DJ and owned Escobar Enterprise. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone, regardless of who they were. Lauro was a people person who never met a stranger. Lauro loved his wife and little girls who were his pride and joy. He was a member of Grace Thru Faith and will be missed deeply. He is survived by the love of his life, Naomi Escobar of the home; daughters: Eliana Isabella Escobar and Ella Rose Escobar of the home; his parents: Juan and Eberta Escobar of Cactus, TX; siblings: Noel Escobar and wife Ana, Juanito Escobar, Inocencia Escobar, Jennifer Ochoa and husband Jaime, Juana Inez and husband Sebastian Bartalome, Juana Mendoza and husband Andy, Maricruz Ruiz and husband guerrero, Joanna Ruiz and husband Guadalupe, Marisela Espino and husband Francisco and Jubenal Escobar; father and mother in law: Johnny Granado and wife Alice of San Angelo, TX; brother and sister in laws: Diana and husband Levi Chapman, Adam Granado, Gabriel Granado and wife Brisa, James Granado and wife Aubri, Jeremy Granado and wife Megan, nieces, nephews and numerous extended family members.
