Lenny Denning, 61 of Dumas, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 o'clock in the morning on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock in the evening at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Lenny was born November 10, 1954 to F.J. & Katherine Denning in Lamar, CO. He grew up in Hartman, CO on his parent's farm and graduated from Lamar High School in 1973. In 1983, he was united in marriage to Joni Even in Barbados. He had been a resident of Dumas since 1983. Lenny had been employed by Halliburton for 10 years and then Valero for 25 years as a pipefitter. He never missed a day of work.
Lenny was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos, and before NFL ticket, was known to drive all the way back to Colorado just to catch a game on t.v. Lenny was always proud of his daughters. He took every opportunity given to brag about them and his grandkids. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Denning.
Lenny is survived by his wife Joni, of the home; Daughters, Katie Johnson & husband Davey of Gruver, TX; Karli Gribble & husband Joe of Yukon, OK ; Granddaughters, Lennon & Greer Johnson; Grandson, Colvin Gribble; and Father: F.J. Denning. He is also survived by his 5 sisters; Pauline (Dallas) Glover, Joann (Ron) Trumble, Mary Alice Henry, Darlene Brown, Jane (Brett Jones) Brewer, and numerous nieces and nephews.
