Leona Martin

Leona Martin 62 passed away Saturday, January 27, 2007 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at First Christian Church with Rev. Darrell Wait, pastor of the church officiating, assisted by Wayne Norrell, longtime family friend. Burial will be at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray, Texas. Leona was born June 30, 1944 in Dumas, Texas to Cornelius and Lorraine Martin. She was owneroperator for Sparkeys Pilot Escort Service for 5 years. She was a member of Xi Omega Zeta of Sunray and the Red Hat Society of Sapulpa, Okla. Leona was a former longtime resident of Moore County and a member of First Christian Church. Survivors include; daughter, Kathleen Goodwin and husband, Jay of Sunray; step-son, Wade Dooley and wife, Stephanie of Sunray; step-daughter Deann Dooley of Sunray; brother, Fred Martin and wife Kay of Eufaula, Okla; eight grandchildren, Clayton Goodwin, Cache Goodwin, Creede Goodwin, John Thomas, Erin Thomas, Trevor Dooley, Ty Dooley and Talon Dooley. Leona was preceded in death by her son Kevin Robertson and her brother Jack Martin. Memorials may be made to Panhandle Children Foundation, PO Box 1541,Dumas,TX 79029 or to a favorite charity. The family will be 1 mile North of Sunray at the home of Debbie Goodwin.
