Leonard Haskell Ratliff, 78 of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019. Memorial services are scheduled for 11 oclock in the morning on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Zane Powers officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Leonard was born on June 14, 1941 in Reydon, OK to Cleo Haskell and Theola Gay (Young) Ratliff. He grew up with his special cousins: Wayne, Richard, Nelson and Elmer Penny, attended school in Erick, OK and graduated from Erick High School in 1959. Leonard served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Purple Heart Medal and the Silver Star for his valor. He married Shirley Fetty on August 25, 1969 in Wheeler, TX. Leonard had been a resident of Dumas for over 60 years and retired from Valero where he was a Unit Supervisor.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Jackie and Bobby Ratliff.
Leonard is survived by his wife Shirley, of the home; daughter: Connie (Cummins) Tinordi and husband Randy of Coalhurst, Canada; brother: Jerry Ratliff of Ozark, AR; sisters: Faye Shephard of Ozark, AR, Diane Cotton of Ozark, AR, Sharon Cowan of Russelville, AR, Patti Brown of Ozark, AR, Debbie Cagal of Ozark, AR, Brenda Mason of Ozark, AR and Jean Redd of Cummings, GA.
