Leslie Fisk, 72 of Dumas passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11 o’clock in the morning on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 6th and Meredith Church of Christ with David Bonner, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.Leslie was born on December 27, 1948 in Quay County, NM to Ralph and Mary Helen (Kroeger) Fisk. He married Lynda Fisk on June 23, 1971 in Tucumcari, NM; she preceded him in death on December 16, 2020. Leslie proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1988 until retirement. Leslie served as a Green Beret, paratrooper, medic, mechanic, drill sergeant, and trainer. He was stationed in Germany, Texas, Missouri and served in the Vietnam War. After his military service, Leslie had several different careers. He drove a truck, was a custodian for Moore County Amarillo College Campus, worked as a CNA and transported patients and then officially retired at the age of 62.Leslie had several hobbies which included fishing, hunting, reading, and learning about new guns as well as watching westerns. Leslie had a strong faith and served the Lord. He adored his grandchildren and was a member of 6th and Meredith Church of Christ. In addition to his wife, Lynda, he was preceded in death by his father; Raymond Kroeker; sisters: Shirley Strope, Danietta Kroeker, and Karen Aragon.Leslie is survived by his children: Ruthie Fisk of Lubbock, Dinise Fisk of Dumas, Leslie Llamas and husband Tommy of Dumas; grandchildren: Tommy “Bub” Llamas, Timmy Llamas, Lilliana Llamas; mother: Helen Kroeker of Tucumcari, NM; brother: Wesley Fisk and wife Paty of Albuquerque and several other extended family members.
