Lillis Boots Casteel - 83
Born April 25, 1923, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Robert Clark and Lydia Victoria Baize Wallace.
She married Herman Casteel on June 10, 1950, in Clovis, New Mexico. They lived in Borger, Texas, from 1950 to 1964 when they moved to Dumas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Linus and Lena and one brother, Joe Wallace.
Survivors: Husband, Herman Casteel of Dumas, Texas
Daughter: Shirley Camilli and husband, George of Felt, Oklahoma.
Son: Ralph Casteel and wife, Maria Louisa of Tijuana, Mexico.
Sister: Valley Hammond of Lawton, Oklahoma.
Brother: Doyle Wallace and wife, Shirley of Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Boots was an active member of First Baptist Church in Dumas. For 17 years she loved preparing and serving food for hundreds of people on Wednesday nights at First Baptist Church.
She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at 2:00 P.M. in Morrison Memorial Chapel. Officiant is Rev. Frank Gordoa, pastor of Cornerstone Church, Dumas, Texas. Burial will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, Dumas, Texas.
