Limuel "Bo" F Burkhalter

Limuel F Burkhalter, 93 of Sunray, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022.  Memorial services will be held at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas. 

Bo, as he was known by friends and family, was born May 7, 1929
in Brownfield, Texas to Bee and Velma Burkhalter. He was born
second of 5 children. He grew up in Tipton, Oklahoma where he
met and married Joyce Etta Wright in 1949. They lived in Altus
Oklahoma. Bo worked for the rural electric company of Tilman
County until he left and went to work for Southwestern Public
Service in Borger, Texas. He worked as a lineman, manager and
district supervisor for SPS until he retired in 1990 after serving SPS
for 33 years. Bo coached Little League baseball, youth football,
and served various positions in the local communities of Sunray,
Boise City and Dalhart where he lived while employed by SPS.
Bo and Joyce had three children Deborah, Carolyn, and Rickie.
Joyce and Carolyn preceded Bo in death as did siblings Alvie,
Verley, and Eddie Bob.

He is survived by Deborah Cook, Rickie Burkhalter, Shirley Six, 6
grandkids and 14 great grandkids.
