Frank was Born November 14, 1935, in Birmingham, Alabama. He lived in many places including New York, Montana, and Dallas, before settling in Farmers Branch, Texas. He married Robbie Joan Cowart on January 17, 1959.
Frank was part of the Marine Corps Platoon Leadership Training and US Army 101 Airborne Division. While in the Army he coached football at West Point Military Academy. Later, he went on to coach at the University of Alabama, Montana State, and Southern Methodist University. Following his career in coaching, he worked at Merchant Bass Motor Freight for 25 years. At the time of his death, he worked as a bus driver for the Farmers BranchCarrolton School District, where he had worked for 15 years. He has also served as the pastor at Summerville at Lakeland Hills Retirement home for the past 25 years.
He was passionate about reading, college football, preaching the Gospel, coaching and investing in kids, telling funny stories, and making people laugh. He was an avid student of the Bible, he cared for his wife, children and grandchildren and most importantly loved the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Robbie Joan, his sister, Bobbie Ruth Case, his children, Jay, Carrie, Mark and Leah, and his grandchildren Jessie, Hannah, Audrey, Torri, Jacob, Tukker, Brenna, and Braydn.
I have never known someone who lived with such passion and excitement for the day he would see his Savior face to face. He made every moment count while he was here on earth. The people he has loved so well over the years seem like grains of sand, too many to count his seniors at the retirement home, his bus kids whom Mr. Frank adored and of course his family and friends. He shared the love of Christ with all in word and deed. Our hearts may be heavy, but only for a moment because our joy is eternal, knowing he is praising his Heavenly Father now seeing with his eyes what he has so fervently believed by faith. Leah McGaughy
