Lonnie Jackson Upchurch

Lonnie Jackson Upchurch, 61, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008 in Dumas, Texas. Services will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Temple Baptist Church with Milton Pax, longtime friend, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Lonnie was born January 3, 1947 in Buckhorn Township, North Carolina to Malcom and Lucille Upchurch. He and Jo-Nette Schnaufer had been soul mates for 20 years. He was a farmer and a member of Moore County Livestock Association. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His life ended the way he livedhis way. He was preceded in death by his son, Lonnie Lee Upchurch and grandson, Brayden Jax. Survivors include; his wife, Jo-Nette of the home; daughters, Vanessa Renee Rhody Upchurch of Lillington, NC, Leslie Burkhalter and husband Grady, Tiffany Lewis and husband Aaron all of Dumas, Alyssia Hall and husband James of Virginia Beach, VA; brothers, Thomas Upchurch, Burton Upchurch and wife, Virginia of Olivia, NC, Ray Upchurch of Angier, NC; sisters, Rachel Cotton and husband Reece of Duncan, NC, Helen Prisella Cummings of Broadway, NC; grandchildren, Colleen Carrie-Mae Rhody, Shemika Nicole-Ann, Jason Isaiah Jr., Dakota Marshal Jack, John DAngelo Lee, Michael Garrett, Stratton Lee Scott, Alexus Elaine, Colton Andrew, Tyrnon Konor, and Juliana Nychele.
