Lorene Fulce, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2007 in Dumas, at the age of 78. Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 10, 2007 in Morrison Memorial Chapel with Lorenzo Garduno long-time family friend, officiating and Jerry Vinson, pastor of 6th Meredith Church of Christ, Dumas, Texas, assisting. Burial will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
Lorene was born in Elk City, Oklahoma on April 7, 1929, to Lowell and Fannie Tosh. She graduated from Berlin Oklahoma High School. She married David Fulce on March 10, 1946 in Wheeler, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1988. She was a member of 6th Meredith Church of Christ, Dumas, Texas. She was a volunteer for the American Heart Association for years. She loved her kids, grandkids, greats and her poodles. She enjoyed taking care of the old folks at the nursing home and greeting everyone with a smile. She loved God and his church. Lorene worked for the Dumas Independent School District at Cactus Elementary and Green Acres for years and loved feeding all her kids.
She is survived by three sons, Rick and Risa and Rod and Janice of Dumas; Robin and Mary of Panhandle; one daughter, Donna and Joel of Winona; a brother, Bill of Missouri; two sisters, Elizabeth and Jay of Arkansas and Vickie and Larry of Georgia; nine grandchildren, Brad, Brandi, Brittni, Carey, Jake, Candice, Autumn, Jason and Derek and eleven great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 305 Morton, Dumas.
