Lorenzo A Gutierrez

Lorenzo A. Gutierrez, 39 of Dumas, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022.  The rosary will be recited at 6 o'clock in the evening on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Morrison Memorial Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 o'clock in the morning on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant.  Interment will follow in the Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.  

Lorenzo was born on July 3, 1983 in Durango, Mexico to Luciano and Rosalina (Rubio) Gutierrez. He was a graduate of Dumas High School and attended Amarillo College where he received his instrumentation degree. He married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life Lorena Velasco in 2004.  Lorenzo went to work at Lowe’s grocery store at the age of 16 and continued there rising all the way to store manager.  Lorenzo was a people person who loved visiting with all the customers.  He loved cooking out with his family and being around them.  He also enjoyed soccer and playing FIFA with his brother.

He was preceded in death by his brother: Jesus Alberto Gutierrez-Rubio.

Lorenzo is survived by his loving wife, Lorena of the home; sons: Enrique, Ivan, and Aaron all of the home; parents: Luciano and Rosalina Gutierrez of Dumas, TX; sister: Diana Gutierrez of Liberty Hill, TX; uncles: Marco Rubio of Dumas, TX, and Reymundo Rubio of Dell City, TX; cousins: Martin and Oscar Sarabia of Dumas, TX.
