Loretta Portlock

Loretta Portlock 86 of Dalhart, TX, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2008 in Dumas, Texas. No services are scheduled. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Loretta Portlock was born April 9, 1921 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Clarence and Marie Ellis. She was a nurse assistant and had been a resident of Dalhart all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Deb Hooser and Bill Portlock; sons Johnny Bill and Jimmy Hooser; daughter Flossie May Dutcher; grandchildren, Jerry Hooser and Baby Flossie Dutcher. Survivors include; son, Robby Hooser of Albuquerque, NM; daughters, Barbette Rice of Channing and Julia Stacy of Guymon, OK; grandchildren, James and John Hooser, Kenny and Kif Sides, Gary and Harley Jones, Melanie Hooser, Sandy Metcalf, Larry and Walter Dutcher, Stephanie, Johnnie and Calvin Hooser, Leah and Karen Holland; and numerous great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, TX 79029, Coon Memorial Hospital, 1411 Denver, Dalhart, TX 79022 or to a charity of choice. The family will be at 617 Bennett in Dumas.
