Lottie Gladys Steen, 94, of Dumas, passed away early Saturday morning May 25, 2019. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas with Rev. Darrell Wait officiating. Burial will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Lottie was born December 25, 1924 in Clayton, New Mexico to Samuel R. and Edna Viola (Burton) Dutcher. After marrying the love of her life; James Steen, she would spend the majority of their over 75 years together raising a family in Dumas. Lottie loved her church and her church family. She was a fantastic cook but also enjoyed some quiet time while crocheting. Lottie was the rock of the family and enjoyed spending her time with her family and raising her children. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Lottie was preceded in death by her husband James in 2014, her parents and daughter Sandra. She is survived by sons: James Lawrence Steen of Denton, TX and Samuel Lee Steen and wife Patti of Canyon, TX; daughter: Olivia Burks of Newcastle, OK; special sister: Betty Steen of Dumas: seven grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggest memorials be made to a charity of your choice. A very special THANK YOU to Memorial Hospice, Pat and Suzanne Sims, Jack and Sue McKee, and Donnie and Kellie Trayler all of Dumas.
