Lula B. Owen 97 passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008 in Clarendon, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Foster, pastor of the church officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Lula B. Owen was born December 27, 1910 in Alvarado, Texas to Allen and Iola Prince. On July 16, 1949 she married John D. Owen who preceded her in death in 1998. She had been a resident of Dumas since 1943 and was a homemaker. Mrs. Owen was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jo Beth Holder; son-in-law, Pete Holder; granddaughter, Karen Holder; and her grandson, Sonny Holder. Survivors include; her daughters, Billie Neuendorff of Odessa, Tx. and Patsy Watson of Granbury, Tx; son Kenneth Land and wife Joyce of Dumas; sister, Betty Bryant of Mesquite, Tx; brother, Kirby Kimbrow of Burleson, Tx; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
