Lupe Trejo, 56 of Dumas, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020. There will be an evening service at 6 oclock on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 oclock in the afternoon on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors.
Lupe was born on August 25, 1963 in Clinton, OK to Julian and Mariaelena Vega. She married Panfilo Trejo in 1985 in Stinnett and the couple would move to Dumas where they made their home and raised their family. Lupe was a very hard working lady who was well respected and admired by her peers in the community. She was the owner of "Nanas Kitchen", which has become one of the favorite places for the people of Dumas to eat a good home cooked meal. Lupe was a great friend and a very strong woman in her faith. She was an excellent wife, mother and grandmother that will be deeply missed in the Dumas Community.
Lupe was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jerry Vega.
Lupe is survived by her husband: Panfilo Trejo of the home; children: John Trejo and wife Delphina of Dumas, TX, Tomas Trejo and wife Catalina of Dumas, TX, Veronica Trejo Nuez and husband Aurelio of Hereford, TX and Miguel Trejo and wife Zinia of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Xea, Ariel, Andrew, Isaac, Kiana, Damian, Cameron, Deandra, Sienna, Jeremiah, Aliah, Valissa, J-La and Railyn; brother Julian Gloria Vega of Odessa, TX; sister: Alicia Campos of Chattanooga, OK.
