Mabel Valenciano

Mabel Valenciano, 61 of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. Funeral services are scheduled for 12 oclock noon on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Cornerstone Church with Pastor Frank Gordoa officiating. Interment will follow in the Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors. Mabel was born on February 16, 1958 in Hereford, TX to Vidal Lucero and Flora Lovato. The family moved to Dumas where Mabel would graduate from Dumas High School. She attended Frank Phillips College and worked for many years as a LVN with Memorial Hospice in Dumas and later as a PRN for Moore County Hospital District. Mabel married Socorro Valenciano on January 31, 1993 in Dumas and would have celebrated 27 years of marriage this coming January. Mabel was a very hardworking lady who loved everybody and had an infectious smile and laugh. Family was very important to Mabel, she absolutely adored her children and grandchildren. Mabel was a member of the Cornerstone Church and will be greatly missed. Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Ralph Lucero and Vidal Lucero Jr.; nephew: Edmar Valenciano. Mabel is survived by her husband, Socorro Valenciano of the home; children: Rachel Ruiz, Paul Ruiz and wife Lupe, Omar Valenciano and wife Erin and Jimmy Valenciano and wife Latisha, all of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Micayela, Myra, Bobbie, Alize, Angelina, Guille, Yesenia, Viviana, Kenlie, King and Mariah; great grandchildren: Aaliyah, Alexander, Romeo, Rosalie and Zelena; brothers and sisters: Robert Lovato, Loraine Arenivar and husband Mario, Ernest Lucero and wife Lori, Alex Lucero and wife Sally, Martin Lucero, Pauline Lucero and Gerardo, Lydia Lucero and Jesus Gutierrez, and Peggy Rodriguez and husband Ruben. The family suggests memorials be made to Memorial Hospice, 224 E 2nd, Dumas TX 79029.
