Madeline Heath

Madeline Heath, 89 of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 10 oclock in the morning on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Northlawn Memorial Gardens with Zane Powers, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Madeline was born on October 11, 1929 in Clayton, NM to Harold and Annis Bowen. She married R.R. Heath in 1948; he preceded her in death on May 27, 2013. Madeline was an educator at heart and taught classes at Hillcrest Elementary and Green Acres Elementary schools in Dumas before retiring from teaching while at Cactus Elementary. During her school years she was asked by the band director to be a twirler for the band. Madeline was very beautiful in school and was the first homecoming queen in Borger in 1947. She loved her family very much and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Madeline is survived by her children: Edward Heath and wife Cindy of Dumas and Trudy Frye of Dumas; grandchildren: Beau and Desiree Upthegrove both of Amarillo, Ryan Heath of Michigan, Bambi Blackshear of Santa Rosa, NM, Randy Coon and April Ortiz both of Dumas and nine great grandchildren.
