MaeDell Fitzgerald, 82 of Sunray, passed away on September 09, 2020 in Dumas, Texas. Memorial services are scheduled for 11 oclock in the morning on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas with Bruce Broxson officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. MaeDell was born on June 29, 1938 in Winfield, Texas to Frank and Hazel Boyett. She married Bill Fitzgerald on May 7, 1956 and went on to graduate from Sunray High School. She was a stay at home mother to her two girls, Toni and LeaAnn, until they began school. Then she began her career as a bank teller at Sunray State Bank on November 01, 1970. She progressed up the ladder to the office of Assistant Cashier and finally to President of the Sunray Branch. After over thirty years of employment she retired on May 18, 2000. She attended Sunray Baptist Church until her health no longer allowed her to attend. She still remained close to her faith and loved her visits from her deacons. Her favorite way to spend time was playing cards with her special friends, Tom and Carla Robinett. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Bill, son Tommy Kenneth, parents Frank and Hazel Boyett and sister, Wanda Close. She is survived by her daughters Toni Admire, LeaAnn Moore Stockton and husband, David of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, brother James Boyett and wife, Linda of Amarillo. Grandchildren Jeremy Admire and wife, Ashley of Dumas, Tanner Admire and wife, Bailey of Amarillo and Tiffany Admire of Amarillo, Texas. Great Grandchildren Jaden, Caitlin, Brooklyn, A.J., Zayden, Colbyn, Jordyn, Jax, Braxton, Addy and Izzy. Her special canine companions Dayzee and Lucy. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, they would prefer donations be made to Memorial Home Health and Hospice, 209 S Bliss, Dumas, Texas 79029, in memory of MaeDell Fitzgerald. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Dumas Memorial Hospital Nursing Staff, Hospice and Dr. Opara for their unconditional care and compassion for our mom.
