Manuel Ernie Ramos 67 passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008 in Dumas. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Frank Gordoa, pastor of Cornerstone Church officiating. Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM in Dumas Cemetery with military honors by Cannon Air Force Base Honor Guard from Clovis, NM. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Ernie was born July 24, 1940 in Laredo, Texas to Encarnacion and Elvira Ramos. He was raised in Dumas. He served in the United States Air Force in many locations and on many bases before retiring in Dumas after 23 years of service. Survivors include; son, Shawn Ramos and wife, Robyn of Mulvane, KS; daughter, Julina Beck and husband, Shane of Derby, KS; son, Ernie Ramos and wife, Eva of Amarillo; son, Ricky Ramos and wife, Jody of Eielson, AK; brothers, Thomas Ramos and wife, Dorothy of Dumas and Mickey Ramos and wife, Carolyn of Guymon, Okla.; sister, Lilly Spradlin of Amarillo; and ten grandchildren.
