Manuel B. Vasquez

Manuel B. Vasquez, 67 formerly of Cactus, passed away on April 27, 2012. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012, at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Deacon Jim Clements of Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Manuel was born November 8, 1944 to Pedro and Juana Barraza Vasquez. He honorably served his county during the Vietnam War. He lived most of his life in Cactus until recently moving to Las Cruces in 2005. He was of Catholic Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Teresa, son Juan Manuel Vasquez, daughter Yvonne Vasquez, brother Alberto Vasquez, sister Maria Vasquez and a grandson Manuel Vasquez. He is survived by sons Pedro Pete Vasquez and wife Sandra of El Paso, Arturo and wife Betty Vasquez of Las Cruces, Charlie and wife Manuela Vasquez of Cactus and Joey Mendoza of Las Cruces daughters Norma and husband Angel Ruiz of Midland and Juanita and husband Lorenzo Lopez of Plainview brother Pete Vasquez of El Paso and a sister Christina Vasquez of El Paso, 29 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
