Manuel Vasquez 21 died Monday, September 3, 2007, in Abernathy, Texas. Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM, Friday, September 7, 2007 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September, 8, 2007 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Albaladejo, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Manuel was born February 19, 1986 in Dumas, Texas. He had been a resident of Dumas all of his life and attended Dumas Schools. He was a meat cutter in the meat packing industry. Survivors include: mother, Juanita Vasquez of Plainview; step-father, Lorenzo Lopez of Plainview; four brothers, Lorenzo Lopez and Miguel Angel Lopez, Cristobal Lopez, Alex Lopez; five sisters, Marisela Lopez, Liliana Lopez, Laura Lopez, Luz Aide Lopez, Mercedes Lopez all of Plainview; grandfather, Manuel Vasquez of Las Cruces, NM; grandparents, Arnoldo and Eulalia Lopez of Chihuahua, Mexico; and special friend Olga Mejia of Amarillo.
