Margaret Frye

Margaret Frye, 81, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 16, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Howe, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Margaret was born February 13, 1929 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Everett and Pearl Chastain. On June 26, 1943 she married Everett Gene Frye in Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. She retired from Contel Telephone Co. in 1987 after 20 years as an operator and in the business office. She loved to sew and taught quilting which was her passion. Margaret had been a resident of Dumas since 1966 and was a longtime member of Ruth Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gerald Ray Frye, her grandson, Shane Hess and eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include daughters, Judy Frye of Amarillo, Patsy Day of Borger brother Fred Chastain of Morris, OK six grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Wednesday, September 15 at the funeral home chapel.
