Margaret L. Louise Hunt, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 16, 2010 in Canadian, Texas. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Rick Korsmo, pastor of Bible Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Margaret L. Louise was born September 4, 1928 in Haworth, Oklahoma to William L. and Lydia J. McBrayer. On June 9, 1944 she married Thomas Hunt at Santa Anna, California. He preceded her in death on January 12, 1994. She was an Avon representative at Dumas and Sunray for several years. She also worked in the Dumas and Sunray school cafeterias. Louise had been a resident of Dumas since 1952 before moving to Canadian three months ago.She was a member of Bible Baptist Church for many years and enjoyed her time teaching Sunday school and serving others.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Larry Joe Hunt in June 8, 1981.
Survivors include daughter, Geneva Batten and husband Clois of Camas, Wash son, Gary Hunt and wife Debbie, of Canadian grandsons, Tom Batten and wife, Shelley of Washougal, Wash, Donny Hunt of Pampa granddaughters, Mistalyn Batten of Washougal, Wash Amy Pierce and husband, Tim of Canadian six greatgrandchildren 2 greatgreatgrandsons brother Paul McBrayer and wife, Celia of Broken Arrow, Okla and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggest memorials be to Canadian Hospice, 1020 W. 4th, Canadian, TX 79014 or to a hospice of your choice.
