Maria C. Rivera

Maria C. Rivera, 82, of Dumas, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 10 oclock in the morning with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. Cremation will follow under the direction of Beeson-Morrison Funeral Directors. Maria was born November 11, 1938 in Valparaiso, Mexico to Guillermo and Maria (Ramos) Carrillo. She married Francisco Rivera in Juarez, Mexico in 1965 and they would make Dumas their home. She loved to cook and each member of the family had their own special favorite meal that she would prepare for them. Maria was a homemaker and generous to a fault. She loved taking care of her family and visit them wherever they may be. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Dumas and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Along with her parents, Maria is preceded in death by her sisters; Francisca Rodriguez and Clotilde Sauceda and a son; Francisco Rivera, Jr. Maria is survived by her husband Francisco of the home; son: Jesse Rivera of Amarillo, TX; daughter: Josephina Carrillo of Odessa, TX; brothers: Roberto and Jose Carrillo; her granddaughters: Cory Rivera of Dumas, TX, Nicole Flores of Dallas, TX and Alyssa Rivera of Amarillo, TX and grandson: Francisco Rivera III of Dumas, TX.
