Marie Best 86 passed away Monday, October 1, 2007 in Dumas, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 8, 2007 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Joe Schwertner, deacon of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Marie was born February 25, 1921 in Rochester, New York to Charles and Amelia Best. She worked for Kodak in Rochester before moving to Dumas in 1975. Marie worked for Wood-Phillips Lumber Co. many years before retiring. Survivors include the Murray family. She was preceded in death by her close friend Loretta Stevens. Memorials may be made to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, TX 79029
