Marisleydis Fernandez Sierra, 19, of Sunray, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018. Memorial services are scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas, with Pastor Victor Aldaco officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Marisleydis was born February 24, 1999 in Isla De La Juventud, Cuba to Mileidye Fernandez Sierra. She moved to Sunray with her mother and went to school at Sunray High School. Marisleydis was a very generous young lady and loved to help people. She especially adored her grandmother who still lives in Cuba. Marisleydis was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, Helen. One of her favorite activities was babysitting children. She was a member of the Sunray Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Marisleydis is survived by her mother: Mileidye Fernandez Sierra; her daughter: Helen Gonzalez; fianc: Yadir Gonzalez; and aunts: Yusmila Rodriguez and Joannie Galaena all of Sunray; grandmother: Rufina Mariza Fernandez of Cuba; and special friends: Judith Ortiz and Iselt.
