Marlene Hurt

Marlene Hurt, 89 of Stratford, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024.  Graveside services are scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Stratford Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Anderson, pastor of First Assembly of God Church, officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock in the evening on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.  

Marlene was born on September 24, 1934, in Rogers Mills County, OK to Victor and Mattie (Burch) Imhoff. She married Bobby Hurt on July 15, 1951, in Plainview, TX; he preceded her in death in 2014. Marlene had previously worked at a printing office in Stratford. She was an excellent homemaker who loved to bake.  She was known for her pies and cakes. Marlene was an active member of the community and volunteered for Meals on Wheels as she loved to visit with people. Marlene was a member of First Assembly of God and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

In addition to her husband, Bobby, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Vanita Jo and Dorothy Sue.

Marlene is survived by her son: Ronnie Hurt of Cactus, TX; daughters: Sue Fenner and husband Vern of Amarillo, TX; Beverly Hurt of Stratford, TX; grandchildren: Marc Fenner, Eric Hurt and wife Mary Ann, Kimberly Bunsold, Michael Fenner and wife Amy; great-grandchildren: Peyton Fenner, Jazlyn Fenner, Brylie Fenner, Hunter Team, Brinley Fenner, Colt Fenner, Phoenix Bunsold and Kilo Bunsold.
