Martin Ponce

Martin Ponce, 54 of Dumas passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2022. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 10 o’clock in the morning on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Grace Thru Faith Fellowship Church with Pastor Jose Contreras, officiating. A second service will follow in Seminole and cremation will follow that service. Local arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Martin was born on October 30, 1967, in Chihuahua, MX to Ismael and Guadalupe (Villalobos) Ponce. He had lived in Seminole, TX his whole life until moving to Dumas in 2017. Martin owned and operated Ponce Construction. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, working on his farm. He was always a hard worker and adored his grandchildren. He will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother: Ramon Ponce.

Martin is survived by his children: Erika Carillo, Maribel Fernandez and husband Uziel, and Martin Ponce, Jr. all of Seminole, TX; parents: Ismael Ponce and Guadalupe Villalobos of Chihuahua, MX; sisters: Mague Ponce, Norma Ponce, Martha Alicia Ponce, Guadalupe Ponce, Dolores Ponce, Claudia Teresa Ponce all of Chihuahua, MX; brothers: Jesus Manuel Ponce and Ismael Ponce, II both of Hobbs, NM; wife: Cecy Marquez of Dumas, TX; stepchildren: Ashley Borunda and husband Manuel, Irene Delgado and husband Jace all of Dumas, TX, and Ervey Almanza and wife Brandi of Amarillo, TX; 10 grandchildren.
