Mary June Ridley, 81, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Life Tabernacle in Dumas with Rev. Mark Wallis, pastor of the church officiating. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
June was born on March 8, 1929 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to James Hubert Slim and Hattie Mary Elizabeth Lackey. She married Hubert Hale Herb Ridley on June 5, 1948 in Dumas, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2002. June graduated from Dumas High School and was a resident of the community for 46 years.
June was a homemaker, and she was a beloved and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Rural Homemakers organization. Her hobbies included gardening and canning wonderful things to eat. She was a member of Life Tabernacle in Dumas.
June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hubert Hale Herb Ridley, four brothers, 4 sisters, and one soninlaw, Butch Ralston.
Survivors include: daughters, Carolyn Ralston of Lubbock, Shirley McCutchan and husband Leroy of Dumas, Jacquita Teel and husband Larry of Wichita Falls, and Robin Eaton and husband Phillip of Caddo Mills, TX sons David Ridley and wife Toni of Ransom Canyon, TX, and Dale Ridley of Dumas one brother, Bill Lackey and wife Lorraine of Dolores, CO one sister, Veleta Most and husband Dean of Amarillo 17 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren.
