Juanita Robertson, 90, of Dumas, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010. Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Sam White, pastor of North Plains Christian Church in Dumas officiating. Burial will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Juanita was born on March 19, 1920 in Reed, Oklahoma to William Alex and Lorena Thompson. She graduated from Reed High School in 1938. On June 11, 1938, she married L. C. Robertson. They were married for 56 years. He preceded her in death in 1995.
Juanita and L.C. raised their family in Dumas. She worked as an LVN at Dumas Memorial Hospital for several years. She loved her family dearly, and was greatly loved and respected by all of her family and friends. Her grandchildren have many fond memories of time spent with their wonderful Grandma and PePa.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents husband a son, James Robertson in 1966 and five sisters, Oleta Parker, Lillian Allen, Pauline Mullins, Ruth Cooper and Dorothy Thompson.
Survivors include: one son, Robbie and Joy Robertson of Dumas one daughter, Jo Anna and Bob Scholl of Amarillo 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, Michael Harkrider and children Alexis and Austin of Rockwall, Michele and Garrett Lambert and children Aubrey and Sadie of McKinney, Kelli and Tim Bilbrey and son Alex of Roanoke, and Chad and Janna Robertson and daughter Laura Katelyn of Lufkin and one very special niece, Debbie Myers of Fullerton, CA.
