Michael McCloud

Michael McCloud, 55 of Dumas passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Funeral Services is scheduled for 10 o’clock in the morning on Friday, January 27, 2023, at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas with Pastor Seth Seale, officiating. Interment will follow at Brown Memorial Cemetery. Mike will be available for viewing from 1 o’clock to 8 o’clock in the evening on Thursday at the funeral home in Dumas. Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Mike was born on May 11, 1967, in Dumas, TX to F.H. and Jean McCloud. He went to school in Sunray and known as “mopeddies” since he rode his bicycle around town all the time.

He was an exceptionally strong man who could be very gentle and kind or a fierce opponent that no one wanted to mess with.  He worked hard and did his job to the best of his ability for whoever he worked for. Michael enjoyed riding his motorcycle and in his later years enjoyed planting and raising flowers.  He loved his family and friends, and we will all miss him.

He was preceded in death by his dad; sister: Linda Robins; and his mother.
Mike is survived by his sisters: Mattie Roof and husband Jeff, Helen Lewis and husband Martin; 7 nieces and nephews, 7 great-nieces and nephews; very close friends: Kurt Lookingbill and Eddie Salcedo.
