Minnie Wynema Granny Pearson, 81, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 8, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Sam White, pastor of North Plains Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Minnie was born September 17, 1928 in New Castle, Texas to John and Eva Fields. On May 10, 1947 she married Raymond Lee Pearson in New Castle. He preceded her in death on November 1978. She was a big kid at heart. She loved to cook, eat and then have someone else do the cleanup. Minnie liked to dance and play bingo. She was a seamstress and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ramona Kay Byrd in 1981, sons, John Lee Pearson in 1991,Joseph Denzel Pearson in 1999, and sister Norma Ford in 2009.
Survivors include daughters, Kathy Hughes and husband Clint, Carolyn Poole, Carla Turner and husband, Mike all of Dumas sons, Marvin Pearson and wife Susie of Amarillo, Jeffery Pearson and wife, Elizabeth of Tunas, MO, Tommy Pearson of Dumas 13 grandchildren, 28 greatgrandchildren and 8 greatgreatgrandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, TX 79029.
