Mona M. Woodman 89 passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 in Dalhart, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 26. 2008 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dale Cain, interim pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mona Woodman was born February 3, 1919 in Altus, Oklahoma to Rev. Gilbert and Hattie Bell. On November 19, 1935 she married J.H. Woodman in Wellington, Texas. They were married over 50 years. She and her husband owned and operated Auto Trim Shop in Dumas for 20 years. Mona had been a resident of Dumas since 1943 and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.H. Woodman, son, Don Woodman, 5 brothers, 1 sister, granddaughter, Lisa Adams and great-grandson Sam Wise. Survivors include; Nelda Rexroat of Ulysses, KS; sisters, Erma Smith of Burnet, TX, Floy Swartz of Jal, NM, and Lou McKinley of Gainsville, TX; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, fourteen great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 617, Dumas, TX 79029.
