Nadine Holberg, 87 of Dumas, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Howe, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 o'clock in the evening on Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas.
Nadine was born April 10, 1928 in Nolette, TX to James and Lucy (Fanning) Honaker. On June 28, 1946, she married Arthur Holberg; he preceded her in death on August 18, 2001. Nadine was a lifelong resident of Dumas and was very active in the community. She was a volunteer for the Chamber of Commerce and Senior Citizen Center as well as a member of the Red Hat Society. Nadine was active in water aerobics and loved to go on trips with First Baptist Church. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her husband, Arthur, she is preceded in death by her parents; a grandson: Kevin Griffith; and her brothers and sister; Wesley, J.D. and Wanda.
Nadine is survived by her daughter: Judy Griffith of Amarillo, TX; son: Danny Holberg and wife Delinda of Orange, TX; brothers: Ken Honaker and wife Jean of Amarillo, TX, Ira Honaker and wife Ermie of Fritch, TX, Jimmy Honaker and wife Penny of Houston, TX; sister: Tressie Roy of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren: Ward Holberg and wife Jaime of Broken Arrow, OK , Aaron Griffith and Krystal of Amarillo, TX; and five great-grandchildren.
