Nell Wideman, 96, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM, Friday, June 4, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses with Case Duggan, Elder of the Borger Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses officiating. Burial will be July 9 in Sumpter County, Alabama. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors .
Nell Wideman was born October 28, 1913 in Chicora, Mississippi to William E. and Carolyn Robinson. On September 11, 1932 she married James Buck L. Wideman in Newton County, Mississippi. He preceded her in death. She was baptized in 1938 and was known for her ministry work ministering from door to door. She had been a resident of Dumas since 1985 and was a member of the Dumas Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Scotty Thompson.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice Jones of Cocoa Beach, FL, Dottie Thompson of Birmingham, AL, and Kathy Dickman and husband Doug of Dumas sister, Jean Gillis of Harrisonburg, VA grandchildren, Anne, Steve, Michele, Dennis, Jeremy and Eric GreatGrandchildren, Zeke, Alex, Caroline, Andrew, Jason, Sadie, Wyatt, Mikayla, and Penelope.
The family suggests memorials be made to Dumas Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses, 114 Santa Barbara, Dumas, TX 79029 or to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd. Dumas, TX 79029.
