Nicholas Barraza, 23 of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11 o\x92 clock in the morning on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Sts Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow at 2 o\x92 clock in the afternoon at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o\x92 clock in the evening on Tuesday at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Nicholas was born on November 4, 1991 to Jose Barraza and Manuela Rodriquez in Dumas. He was a graduate of Dumas High School. Nicholas was an avid Denver Broncos fan whose favorite player was Demaryius Thomas with Tim Tebow at quarterback. He also enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling and his choice wrestler was John Cena. Although Nicholas was only with us for a short time, he touched many lives and was a true blessing. He was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Nicholas was preceded in death by grandmother Sharon \x93Mamo\x94 Rodriquez and a special uncle Bobby \x93Bandit\x94 Barraza.
He is survived by his mother Mia Rodriquez of the home; father Jose Barraza of Dumas; brother Solomon Barraza of Amarillo; sister Amanda Jo Barraza of Dumas; grandparents: David Rodriquez of Dumas and Eustacio and Esperanza Barraza of Dumas; Uncles and Aunts: Buddy Joe Rodriquez of Andrews, Billy Rodriquez of Lubbock, Manuel and Carmen Leyva of Dumas, Julian and Rosa Barraza of Stratford, Ramon and Elvira Aldana of Dumas, Manuel and Karen Barraza of Goodwell OK, Vince Barraza of Clinton OK and Alma Barraza of Dumas; and a host of extended family members.
