Nina Goldsmith

Nina Goldsmith, 74 of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jay McGaughy, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Nina was born July 28, 1940, in Dumas to Derrel and Jessie Mae Slagle. She married A.J. Goldsmith on November 26, 1958 in Dumas. Nina was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dumas and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter: Tammy Sue Goldsmith; two brothers: Joel 'Butch' and David Slagle. Nina is survived by her daughter: Kimberly Goldsmith; two grandsons: Bradly Preston and wife Mary and Kevin Preston and wife Gina; great-grandchildren: Taylor Nicole and Conner Shea Preston; brother: Bob Slagle; sister: Faye Ary; and several nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be to Mark Payne Scholarship Fund in care of Dalhart Federal, P.O. Box 692, Dumas, TX 79029.
