Nola Sheldon

Nola Sheldon 96 passed away Monday, October 29, 2007 in Dumas, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 1, 2007 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Wagoner, former pastor officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens with arrangements by Morrison Funeral Directors. Family visitation will be held 6PM to 8PM Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Morrison Funeral Directors, 1015 Dumas Ave, Dumas, Texas. Nola Sheldon was born September 27, 1911 in Texas County, Oklahoma to Charles and Gertrude Sade. On March 12, 1929 she married Charles Sheldon who preceded her in death on February 22, 1987. She moved to Dumas in 1935 from Texhoma, Oklahoma. Nola was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Sheldon in 2002 and seven brothers and sisters. Survivors include; two daughters, Bert Clifton and husband, Marvin of Dumas, Sylvia Spray and husband, Jack of Las Cruses, NM; son Charles Sheldon Jr. and wife, Janey of Dumas; brother Albert Sade of Denver, Colo; daughter-in-law, Jackie Sheldon of Beaver, OK; eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great grandchildren. Memorial may be made to Charles Sheldon Memorial Scholarship Fund, 912 N.E.6th, Dumas, Tx.79029. The family will be at the Derrick Ranch east of Dumas.
