Odessa Bethel

Odessa Bethel, 90 of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11 o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Howe, pastor of the church, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 o'clock to 7 o'clock in the evening on Tuesday at the funeral home. A private family interment will be held at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Odessa was born on October 25, 1925 in Madill, OK. She had been a resident of Dumas for 65 years. She was united in marriage on September 13, 1943 to Clint Bethel in Durant, OK; he preceded her in death. In addition to her husband, Clint, she is preceded in death by her parents. Odessa is survived by her two sons: Ken Bethel and wife Sharon of Colorado City, CO and Jim Bethel and wife Debbie of Dumas; sister-in-law: Marion Brody and family of Plano, TX; grandchildren: Mickey Bethel and wife Tammi of Rocky Ford, CO, Toby Bethel and wife Misty of Florence, CO, Tonya Keys and husband Doyle of Rye, CO, Anthony Bethel and wife Danica of Canyon, TX, Melissa Lucido and husband Jimmy of Childress, TX; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and other extended family members.
