Odetta Ruth Hudson

Odetta Ruth Hudson, 82 of Stratford, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 o'clock in the morning on Friday, June 23, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Whitt, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow in Stratford Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors. Odetta was born on October 15, 1934 in Center, OK to Grady and Anna Bell (Angel) Ingram. She grew up in Tupelo, OK where she graduated high school. She was united in marriage to Van Hudson on July 14, 1956 in Pampa, TX; he preceded her in death in 1995. Odetta loved yardwork and tending to her flowers. She also loved to cook and bake for her family whom she loved very much. She also had a deep love for her lord and savior; she was of Baptist faith. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Hank Ingram, Harry Ingram, Leallen Ingram and Lee Ingram. She is survived by her sons: Randy Hudson and wife Jonnetta of Krum, TX, Tracy Hudson and wife Sharon of Sanger, TX and Paul Hudson of Stratford, TX; sisters: Thelma Walkup of Tupelo, OK, Betty Reed of Campbell, TX, Melba Anderson of Amarillo, TX; brothers: Bobby Ingram of Tupelo, OK and James Ingram of Washington, OK; six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
