Patricia Ann Moore

Patricia Ann Moore, 77 of Dumas passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 2 oclock in the afternoon on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Channing Cemetery with Lanell Switzer officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Patricia was born on October 1, 1936, in Claude, TX to Herschell Carver and Shelley Berry Tipton. In 1955, she married Albert Moore in Dumas. Patricia was an avid artist and a talented cowgirl. She participated in goat shows in multiple states and at one time held the State Championship. Her favorite pastime was riding horses. It has been said she could ride a horse better than any man could. Patricia was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star Texline Chapter No. 640 and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dumas. She will be missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Nancy McClary. Patricia is survived by her husband, Albert Lee of Dumas a sister: Nina Henry of Dearborn, MI a niece: Janice West of Dumas and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be made to Memorial Hospice, 224 E 1st, Dumas, TX, 79029 or Order of the Eastern Star Texline Chapter No. 640, 14628 FM 296, Texline, TX 79087.
