Paul Archie Caraway, 70 of Dumas passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o\x92clock in the afternoon on Friday, May 15, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Tulia with Rev. Jason Stone, pastor of the church, officiating. Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm in the evening at Morrison Funeral Directors on Thursday. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Paul was born on June 10, 1944 in Tulia, TX to William and Amy (Burrow) Caraway. He was a graduate of Tulia High School and then went on to attend WT State University. Paul proudly served in the US Navy. On June 17, 1967, he was united in marriage to Millie Doan in Chula Vista, CA. He had been a resident of Dumas for 38 years and a very successful farmer. His favorite pastime was playing pool. Paul dearly loved his family and especially adored his grandchildren. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Tulia and will be missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Paul is survived by his wife, Millie of the home; three daughters: Rhonda Soapes and husband Carson of Amarillo,TX, Callie Halls and husband Tim of St. Louis, MO, Marci Darcy and husband William of Dumas, TX; two brothers: Harold Caraway and wife Leona of Amarillo, TX and Robert Caraway and wife Joy of Honey Grove, TX; grandchildren: Cannon, Rylee, Tristin, Jaxin, Gillian, Chloe, and Ellie.
