Paul Glendon Daniel

Paul Glendon Daniel, 96, of Dumas, passed away November 7, 2016. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 o'clock in the morning Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Dumas with Rev. Jerry Howe officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10:30 AM on Saturday until service time. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Paul was born on July 18, 1920 to John Thomas and Lillie Bell (Webb) Daniel in Quanah, TX. He was united in marriage to Alice Ila Srader on November 15, 1941 in Quanah, TX. He was a longtime member of the Dumas community since 1965, where he was a self-employed farmer. In his younger years he enjoyed flying. Paul loved fishing and hunting for deer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Paul is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; three sisters; and grandson: Andy Daniel. Paul is survived by his wife Ila Daniel of the home; sons: Dr. Gerald Daniel and wife Joan of Southlake, TX and Bobby Daniel and wife Shirley of Friona, TX; daughter: Janell Miller of Dumas, TX; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
