Peggy Virginia New Plunk

Peggy Virginia New Plunk, 82 of Stratford passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 11 oclock in the morning on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Stratford Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Phillips, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Peggy was born on September 9, 1938 in Knox City, TX to Owen and Irene New. She grew up and went to school in Foord County, TX. In August of 1954 she married Jimmy Everson; to this union 3 children were born, Cheryl, Kim, and Jim. Through lifes transition she later married Dwayne Plunk in November 1972 and added 2 children, Kevin and Le Renda to the family. Later they had Wade Plunk. Peggy was an exceptional lady who dedicated her life to loving and taking care of her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Dwayne, her parents, brother: Jimmy New; and son: Jim Everson. Peggy is survived by her children: Cheryl Sands of Texhoma, OK, Kim Feemster and husband Ricke of Kim, OK, Kevin Plunk of Amarillo, TX, Le Renda Mayes and husband Sammie of Amarillo, TX, and Wade Plunk of Amarillo, TX; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests with gratitude, donations be made to Advo Companies, Inc., 5241 S. Washington St., Amarillo, TX 79110.
