Quiterio Mendoza

Quiterio Mendoza, 82 of Dumas, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Beeson - Morrison Funeral Directors. The rosary will be recited at 6 o'clock in the evening on Tuesday at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Quiterio was born on January 23, 1938 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Jesus and Cesaria (Morales) Mendoza. He was united in marriage to Marselina Mendoza in Mexico. Ouiterio favorite pastime was working in his garden especially planting trees. Quiterio loved to sing, laugh and had a great sense of humor. He was always happy and enjoyed telling jokes. Quiterio was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Quiterio is survived by his wife, Marselina, of the home; sons: Eduvijes Mendoza of Cactus, Manuel Mendoza and wife Maria Leticia of Dumas, TX, Faustino Mendoza and wife Lorenza of Gruver, TX, Rito Mendoza and wife Blanca of Chihuahua, MX; daughters: Matilde Tarango and husband Efrain of Dumas, TX and Maribel Mendoza and husband Cesar of Gruver, TX; sister: Carmen Mendoza of Arizona; brothers: Antonio Mendoza of Chihuahua, MX, Isidro Mendoza of Chihuahua, MX; 18 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
