R. S. McGinley

R.S. Mac McGinley 84 passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007 in Dumas, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Northlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Guest, pastor of Hunt Memorial United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mac McGinley was born February 21, 1923 in Sweetwater, Texas to Charles and Oda McGinley. On October 19, 1942 he married Mary B. Roberts who preceded him in death on May 4, 2007. Mac served in the US Army during WWII. He worked as a machinist for Phillips Petroleum for 36 years before retiring. Mac was an avid golfer and had been a resident of Moore County for 59 years. Survivors include: daughter, Randy Bass and husband, Short of Sunray; son, Scott McGinley of Dumas; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
