SFC (Ret) Ralph Gregory, 81 of Sunray, TX passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. A Funeral service is scheduled for 11 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Bible Baptist Church in Sunray with Pastor Seth Seale officiating. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 11 o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson, OK under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.
Ralph was born on November 8, 1941, in Picher, OK to George and Callie (Jacobs) Gregory. He entered the U.S. Army and served faithfully as a Power Generator and Small Wheel Mechanic and later as an Automotive Mechanic until his retirement as a Sergeant First Class. His military medals and accommodations include: Overseas Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Parachute Badge, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal 5th Award, Driver Badge, Meritorious Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Army Commendation Service and NCO Professional Development Ribbon. Ralph married Evelyn Stone on June 12, 2014, in Dumas, TX and the couple made Sunray their home. He enjoyed tinkering around in his shop and attended Bible Baptist Church in Sunray.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Evelyn of the home; daughters: Darla Gregory LaRue of AZ, Laurie Anne Gregory of Tulsa, OK; son: Richard Alan Gregory 1SG (Retired) and fiancé Susanne Bustamante of Houston, TX; step-children: Rockey Stone and wife Stacy of Stratford, TX, Sam Stone and wife Amanda of Sunray, TX, Randy Stone and wife Wendy of Sunray, TX; sisters: Carol Teeter and Coleen Faye Cole; grandchildren: Richard Alan Gregory II, Anna Sparks, Trenton Stone and wife Kaitlyn, Tanner Stone, and wife Madison, Whitney Stone, Tyler Stone, Hayden Stone, Hunter Stone and wife Hope and Mariah Ramirez and husband Alex; along with many great grandchildren and other family members.
